The Entre Soles y Lunas Foundation was born as a project in 2006 in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay. While it was consolidated organically in 2011, focused on contributing to raising the quality of life of human beings.
Our entity acts from three main axes: migration, heritage and sustainable fashion, articulated in agreements and alliances at an international level with state entities, academics, international organizations and social organizations.
At the foundation, the strategies and projects that are designed are to promote the comprehensive development of people and communities through the reconstruction and strengthening of the social fabric at the local, regional and international level. To achieve this, they are articulated in areas of education, communication, culture and art.
The projects carried out are aligned with the triple impact: social, economic and environmental and in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. However, at Entre Soles y Lunas we believe it is important to add two more impacts, the cultural and the spiritual.
It is very important to understand the five impacts with which we work in order to generate solutions to the problems that arise and that is why we are going to describe them below:
- Social Impact: Generates contribution to the resolution of needs and strengthening and regeneration of the social fabric.
- Economic Impact: Promotion of comprehensive development from fair markets, clean and supportive economies.
- Environmental Impact: Protection and care of the planet and life in all its expression.
- Cultural and Heritage Impact: Valuation of the identity, knowledge and knowledge of the people.
- Spiritual Impact: Encourages harmonized circles of solidarity, brotherhood and love in individuals and social groups.
We already told you about us, what we do and the impacts we work with, but we want you to get to know us even more...
Let's take a look at our programs and projects that are part of Entre Soles y Lunas:
- Heritage in Motion: This program sets our guidelines and actions based on in-depth research, analysis and observation of material and intangible heritage in human beings and their contexts. We strive to value and elevate the quality of life in harmony with the planet.
- Heritage for Regeneration: Focuses on identifying and implementing solutions to specific needs, in constant dialogue with academia, society and states. Promotes social cohesion and the comprehensive well-being of people.
- MOLA Universe: Arises within the “Heritage in Motion” program and promotes networking, development and recognition of designers, ventures and producers of the value chain of the Latin American sustainable fashion and textile industry.
- MOLITAS: This project involves the most citizens of the future. Educates through educational, sensory and reflective workshops that stimulate learning about the value of both material and intangible heritage addressed according to the context of each particular audience.
At the Foundation we believe in the transformative power of heritage, social regeneration and sustainable fashion. We are committed to the comprehensive well-being of communities and that is why together with Doris Helena Rojas (Founder and general director of the ESL foundation), Valentina Suárez (General director of Universo MOLA), collaborators, allies and the team of professionals who accompany us On this path of change, we want to invite you to discover how together we can create a more just and sustainable future.
