Aviagen Latin America: Sustainable Leadership or Green Marketing Strategy?

Aviagen Latin America has intensified its focus on environmental sustainability in Brazil through significant investments in green infrastructure and sustainable practices, sparking debates as to whether this is genuine environmental leadership or simply a green marketing strategy. The company has allocated more than R$7 million to the installation of solar plants at several of its farms and production plants, and has invested more than R $1.1 million in advanced wastewater treatment systems. Since 2018, Aviagen has implemented the use of renewable energy in its operations, achieving 93% of its energy from clean sources, with a goal of reaching 95% by the end of 2024.
